Diary Before the Opening
As the exhibition approaches, I’ve wished to capture my thoughts, though work has kept me in constant motion—perhaps by necessity, perhaps by habit. As an independent creator, I navigate between watercolor, jewellery design, leather carving, and handmade bags. Creative freedom is a gift, but it also demands discipline; in a personal studio, every idea and every detail is shaped by my own hands.
This solo show brings together my watercolors, jewellery pieces, leather-carved works, and unique sculpted leather bags. Most of the display elements were also designed and crafted by me, with only a few custom stands made in collaboration with specialists. I love this way of working—it is both a process of self-discovery and an act of self-care.
To me, creation is an exchange of energy. What appears solid is, in reality, particles in slow, constant motion—resonating, influencing, and responding to one another, much like quantum entanglement. My relationship with each artwork feels the same.
The exhibition becomes an extension of this interaction: my energy, the work’s energy, and the viewer’s energy meeting and transforming within the same space. At the core of this dialogue is love.
One piece features Taiwan’s native blue chalcedony paired with deep-blue and rose tourmaline, symbolizing the elegant communication between minerals. It rests on an abstract painting of a woman in an orange polka-dot dress, where bold colors and symbols form a rhythmic visual language. Together, the painting and jewellery create a vibrant expression of energy in motion.
